Richard Readings is committed towards collective liberation on the non-physical and physical planes alike and thus supports multiple civil rights and freedom movements worldwide. It is imperative that we who are more privileged with access to freedom of expression, freedom of speech and freedom of finances use our minds, voices and wallets to extend our resources towards people around the world who are trapped in cycles of oppression and suffering. It is a law of energy that there cannot be true equality within a system of inequalities and that not a single one of us is truly free and liberated until all of us are. It is the goal of Richard Readings to increase awareness and understanding of the unity consciousness while also providing convenient avenues to funnel funds and resources towards humans who are facing economic, natural and humanitarian disaster. As we connect to our gifts and ancestors, we are reminded that it is our duty to support all beings of this Earth so that collective change can take place. We encourage you to support the causes listed below and also reach out with information of any humanitarian effort that we can help to benefit.
Call to Action
Palestine Children’s Relief Fund
Hey everybody,
As the tragedy in Gaza unfolds, countless Palestinian children remain in crisis. The lack of medical supplies and decreasing number of functioning hospitals in Gaza is harrowing. There is a dire need to get basic medical supplies into the area, especially for children who simply need anesthesia, or any form of pain medication to undergo life-saving amputee operations.
The Palestinian Children's Relief Fund is fighting to provide this urgent humanitarian aid. That's why I am running the Seattle Marathon on November 26th in support of this organization. Not only will 100% of the donations go to PCRF, but the funds will be matched 300% by the Gates Foundation, courtesy of Niket Thakkar. The goal is already to raise 5k, with a 3x match, that's 15k to the PCRF!
Save the Children - Africa
Save the Children has worked in Africa for more than 60 years. Today, with millions of children and families in Africa already struggling to cope with the impacts of conflict and climate change, COVID19 is yet another shock undermining their livelihoods and pushing them towards acute hunger and malnutrition. In places like South Sudan and the Sahel, ongoing conflict has hindered families’ access to food for years. Across areas of East and Southern Africa, climate change has triggered harsher and more frequent droughts.
Right now, Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya are facing the third severe drought episode in a decade. West Africa is facing its worst food crisis in a decade, with 27 million people not knowing where their next meal will come from.
Save the Children is responding to the immense needs of vulnerable African children and families by helping to improve access to healthcare and education. We are also working tirelessly to keep children protected from the harms of conflict, including child trafficking, forced early marriage and child labor.
But we can’t do any of this lifesaving work without your support.
